General Hatha Yoga
General Hatha yoga classes focus on the balance of physical practice (asana), breath work (pranayama), relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation. The small, intimate size of the classes ensure individual attention and tuition within the group. These classes are suitable for students of all levels and experience and are open to both men & women.
Wednesdays 7.00 pm: This class is taught by Cat Rathjen who is currently pursuing her formal Iyengar Yoga teaching Training which encourages the use of props and equipment to allow people to express a pose to the best of their ability.
All other General classes taught by Sue

Yoga 4 Blokes
A class specifically designed for the blokes!
Never done yoga before? Long time since you've touched your toes? Perhaps you've got a bit of an ache here and there? This is a great place to start to get your body moving again.
This class focuses on promoting a healthy, strong, balanced body and a vital nervous and immune system. There is no room for a competitive mindset here - there is however plenty of room for some fun and a good laugh in a relaxed, accepting environment.
This class is suitable for all levels.

Gentle Yoga is a modified form of Hatha Yoga which allows students with disabilities, lack of mobility, balance problems, joint challenges, recovering from illness, accidents and operations, or other physical issues to participate in and enjoy the benefits of a yoga practice. It is also an excellent place to start if you have not done yoga before or not for a long time! This is not 'dumbed-down' or easy yoga - it is challenging for each person according to their abilities.
Small class size allows for students of all physical abilities to receive individual attention and appropriate instruction for their needs.

Introductory Courses are run over a 5 week period at different times and on different days each term to allow for everybody's different schedules!
We discuss some theory, history, expectations and learn some basic breathing techniques and yoga poses (asanas) including sun salutations. For students with no previous yoga experience this course equips them with the necessary knowledge to join in a general class with confidence. For someone who has not done any yoga for some time it is a great refresher!

Gentle Yoga Movement

Mindfulness is about being present in the present moment. We spend much of our time in our heads thinking about the past or projecting in to the future. By practicing Mindfulness we become aware of the beauty of life right now, in this moment.
Marie gently and with great awareness guides the participants of this class through relaxation exercises, a series of gentle yoga movements (asanas) and delightful Mindfulness Exercises in such a skilled way that they seem to float out of the studio. There is an obvious shift in mindset & physicality by the end of each session.
A wonderful class to complement a regular class, calm a busy mind, begin to explore a yoga practice or perfect for people with any health or mobility restrictions. Suitable for everybody!
